CANADA STOCKS-TSX end higher as G20 talks stoke optimism

TORONTO, April 2 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index shot to its highest close in nearly three months on Thursday on hopes that actions agreed to at the G20 summit in London would help restore global growth.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially rose 122.31 points, or 1.37 percent, to close at 9,064.13, which marked its highest closing level since Jan. 9. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Rob Wilson)
