TORONTO, April 6 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened down more than 1 percent on Monday as lower gold and oil prices weighed on the resource heavy index.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 93.96 points, or 1.04 percent, to 8,971.80 at the open. Seven of the 10 TSX sectors were down. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
