CANADA STOCKS-Banks lead TSX on to higher ground
TORONTO, April 14 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange turned positive on Tuesday morning as weighty bank shares rallied on some upbeat U.S. banking news and more than offset the drag from lower energy stocks.
At 10:29 a.m. (1429 GMT) the Toronto Stock index .GSPTSE was up 0.87 of a point at 9,286.49. Earlier, it had fallen 80 points. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
