CANADA STOCKS-TSX up 1 percent as bank shares rebound
TORONTO, April 21 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was up more than 1 percent shortly after midday on Tuesday as weighty financials and energy shares led a rebound.
At 12:10 p.m. (1610 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 90.87 points, or 1 percent, at 9,217.02. Earlier it had fallen as much as 1.2 percent. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
