TORONTO, April 22 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was up 1 percent on Wednesday morning after a flat open as weighty banks shares bounced off their lows, while a rise in bullion prices offered a boost to gold-mining shares.
At 10:17 a.m. (1417 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 92.41 points, or 1 percent, at 9,339.58. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
