TORONTO, April 22 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index finished modestly higher on Wednesday, as stable commodity prices helped energy and gold shares hold their own against weak financial issues.
The S&P/TSX composite .GSPTSE rose 29.29 points, or 0.32 percent, to unofficially close at 9,276.46. Seven of the TSX's 10 main sectors moved higher, including energy and the resource-heavy materials group. (Reporting by Wojtek Dabrowski; editing by Rob Wilson)
