CANADA STOCKS-TSX rallies on jobs data, banks, oil
TORONTO May 8 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index shot higher on Friday on rising optimism over surprisingly strong jobs data and the outlook for the U.S. financial system, while climbing oil prices boosted energy issues.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE climbed 273.85 points, or 2.75 percent, to 10,240.90. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Rob Wilson)
