TORONTO, May 20 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index climbed more than 1 percent on Wednesday, boosted by strong oil and gold prices, but it pared stronger early gains as investors took profits after a sharp two-day rise.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 122.99 points, or 1.22 percent, at 10,223.94. ($1=$1.14 Canadian) (Reporting by Cameron French; editing by Peter Galloway)
