CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as commodity prices firm

TORONTO, May 22 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index rose at the open on Friday, bouncing from a 2.8 percent drop in the previous session, as firmer commodity prices helped lift the resource-heavy market.

The S&P/TSX composite index <.GSPTSE was up 60.53 points, or 0.61 percent, at 10,010.12 at the open. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
