CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher with commodity prices

TORONTO, June 16 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index rallied at the open on Tuesday as commodity prices rose on a weaker U.S. dollar, lighting a fire under the resource-laden market after it fell sharply the previous session.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 144.13 points, or 1.39 percent, at 10,538.91 at the open. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
