CANADA STOCKS-TSX posts modest gain as commodities rally
TORONTO, June 23 (Reuters) - A rise in commodity prices helped lead Toronto's main stock index to a higher close on Tuesday, but it could only reclaim a sliver of the previous session's plunge as economic uncertainty lingered.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 57.66 points, or 0.59 percent, to 9,891.84 after shedding 453 points on Monday, its biggest point-fall since Dec. 1. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Rob Wilson)
