CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends lower as bank shares drag
TORONTO, June 30 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index capped off a sharp quarterly gain with a lower close on Tuesday as weighty financial shares tumbled on concerns about the prospects for a global economic recovery.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 101.55 points, or 0.97 percent, at 10,375.22 on Tuesday. For the second quarter, the TSX index rose about 19 percent. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
