CANADA STOCKS-TSX skids 3 percent on nagging economic concerns
TORONTO, July 6 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was down 3 percent on Monday morning as concerns about the global economic recovery combined with weak commodity prices to push the resource-heavy index to its lowest level in over a week.
At 10:39 a.m. (1439 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 310.82 points, or 3.02 percent, at 9,972.28. All of the TSX's 10 sectors were in lower territory, led by a 4.96 percent skid in the materials group. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
