TORONTO, July 10 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index finished lower on Friday, but off session lows, as falling prices for oil and gold kept pressure on the resource-heavy index.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 24.07 points, or 0.25 percent, at 9,749.85. It fell more than 1 percent early in the day. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
