CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower after 3-day rally
TORONTO, July 16 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index slipped at the open on Thursday as investors pocketed gains a day after sending the composite index to its highest level in more than a week.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 48.05 points, or 0.47 percent, to 10,161.41 at the open after three straight higher closes.
Seven of the TSX's 10 sectors were down, led by a 0.92 percent drop in the weighty energy group. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
