CANADA STOCKS-TSX closes higher as commodities strengthen

 TORONTO, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
bounced broadly higher on Tuesday as market sentiment
brightened and rising commodity prices helped lift the
resource-heavy index after Monday's steep descent.
 The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE  unofficially closed
up 133.79 points, or 1.27 percent, at 10,665.38.
