CANADA STOCKS-TSX drops as China selling weighs
TORONTO, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index fell 1.3 percent at the open on Wednesday following a selloff in Chinese stocks that dented confidence about the extent of global economic recovery.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE dropped 134.64 points, or 1.26 percent, to 10,539.20. All 10 sectors were lower, led by near-2 percent declines in both the key energy and materials groups. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
