TORONTO, Sept 1 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index extended its decline on Tuesday morning as oil prices turned lower and dragged down the resource-heavy index, while the index's financial group continued to weigh heavily.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 112.05 points, or 1.03 percent, to 10,756.16. Nine of the index's 10 main groups were lower, with only the information technology group rising. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
