CANADA STOCKS-TSX climbs on strength in materials, banks

 TORONTO, Sept 3 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
closed higher for a second straight day on Thursday as strength
in metals prices lifted materials stocks, while investors bid
up bank shares after a selloff earlier this week.
 The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed
up 220.22 points, or 2.06 percent, at 10,921.54.
