CANADA STOCKS-TSX extends gain as resource shares rally
TORONTO, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was up more than 1 percent on Thursday morning as a rise in prices for key Canadian exports like oil and gold gave a boost to the resource-heavy index.
At 11:00 a.m. (1500 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 115.55 points, or 1.05 percent, at 11,115.72.
Nine of the TSX's 10 main sectors were higher, led by a 1.9 percent rise in the materials group and a 1.3 percent climb by the energy sector. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Rob Wilson)
