TORONTO, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index shot higher at the open on Friday morning as higher commodity prices boosted energy, mining and raw material shares.
The move higher was also supported by firmness on overseas markets due to economic recovery optimism.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 50.61 points, or 0.45 percent, at 11,205.61. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
