CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as oils, banks sag
TORONTO Oct 1 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened lower on Thursday, kicking off the first trading day of the fourth quarter on a soft note due to weakness in energy and financial shares.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 14.17 points, or 0.12 percent, to 11,380.79. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
