CANADA STOCKS-TSX up 2 pct as gold shares extend charge
TORONTO, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index was up more than 2 percent at mid-morning on Tuesday as Goldcorp G.TO and other gold-mining shares rallied as gold prices hit a record high, and energy shares rose on higher oil prices.
At 10:43 a.m. (1443 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 229.60 points, or 2.07 percent, at 11,332.22. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
