CANADA STOCKS-Gold miners push TSX to a higher open
TORONTO, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose at the open on Tuesday as higher gold prices pushed up Barrick Gold Corp (ABX.TO: Quote) and other gold miners, while upbeat U.S. corporate earnings buoyed sentiment.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 45.49 points, or 0.39 percent, to 11,583.88 at the open. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
