CANADA STOCKS-Gold miners push TSX to a higher open
TORONTO, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose at the open on Tuesday as higher gold prices pushed up Barrick Gold Corp ABX.TO and other gold miners, while upbeat U.S. corporate earnings buoyed sentiment.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 45.49 points, or 0.39 percent, to 11,583.88 at the open. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
