CORRECTED - CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower on oil price, Potash earnings

TORONTO, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened slightly lower on Thursday as a slide in oil prices pulled down energy shares, while Potash Corp (POT.TO: Quote) shares dropped after the company reported a drop in quarterly profit.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 11.61 points, or 0.1 percent, to 11,430.41 at the open. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
