CORRECTION - TORONTO - REFILE-CANADA STOCKS-TSX surges on optimism for U.S. recovery

 TORONTO, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
finished 2.23 percent higher on Thursday after four straight
days of triple-digit losses as strong U.S. economic data raised
expectations that the world's biggest economy was on the mend.
 The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed
up 241.47 points at 11,046.80.
