CANADA STOCKS-Boosted by gold miners, TSX erases early skid
TORONTO, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index erased an early skid and moved into higher territory on Tuesday as a rise in gold prices helped boost gold-mining shares, more than offsetting weakness in financials.
At 10:00 a.m. (1400 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 4.12 points, or 0.04 percent, at 10,882.47.
Earlier it had fallen as much as 126 points to 10,751.72 as bank shares were unloaded due to concerns about the European banking sector. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
