CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as gold prices fall
TORONTO, Dec 7 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened lower on Monday as a stronger U.S. dollar pressured gold prices, dragging down shares of Barrick Gold (ABX.TO: Quote) and other gold miners.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 44.86 points, or 0.39 percent, at 11,465.94 at the open. (Reporting by Irene Kuan; editing by Peter Galloway)
