CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower on commodities, BNS results

TORONTO, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index opened lower on Tuesday as weaker commodity prices and results from Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS.TO) that just missed expectations pulled the resource and financial sectors down.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 80.36 points, or 0.7 percent, at 11,409.27 at the open. (Reporting by Irene Kuan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
