CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on Potash, resource shares

TORONTO, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock market index opened higher on Tuesday, boosted by strength in commodity shares, including fertilizer producer Potash Corp of Saskatchewan Inc (POT.TO), which climbed on a brokerage upgrade.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 24.31 points, or 0.20 percent, at 11,891.21 at the open. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
