CANADA STOCKS-TSX slides as weaker oils offset golds

TORONTO, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index fell on Thursday on weakening energy prices, while gold prices that turned higher failed to support.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 49.62 points, or 0.42 percent, at 11,803.94. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Rob Wilson)
