TORONTO, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened at its lowest level this year on Friday, as markets from London to Tokyo reeled from a White House plan to impose new restrictions on banks that spurred selling of risky assets.
At 9:30 a.m. The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 38.73 points or 0.34 percent at 11,430.37. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney, Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
