CANADA STOCKS-RIM, banks lead TSX higher

TORONTO, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index edged into positive territory late on Wednesday, largely led by strength in Research In Motion RIM.TO and financial shares.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 2.63 points at 11,363.82.

All five of the country’s biggest banks were among the top influential advancers, while RIM topped heavyweight gainers with a 3.7 percent rise to C$68.04. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Rob Wilson)
