CANADA STOCKS-TSX gains broadly as U.S. data fuels recovery hope
TORONTO, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index rose broadly on Monday, kicking off the first trading session of February on solid footing as U.S. manufacturing data boosted investor optimism about economic recovery.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed 206.30 points, or 1.86 percent, higher, at 11,300.61. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
