CANADA STOCKS-TSX gains slightly on oil, banks
TORONTO Feb 19 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index edged higher shortly after the open on Friday, helped by a rebound in oil prices and firmer bank issues, but trade was cautious as the market digested an unexpected hike in the U.S. Federal Reserve's discount rate.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 4.18 points at 11,699.02 after opening slightly lower. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
