CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends 3-day slide on firm banks, gold

TORONTO Feb 25 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index closed higher on Thursday after a three-day slide as stronger than expected bank earnings and a firm gold price lifted two of the index's biggest sectors.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 109.31 points, or 0.95 percent, at 11,631.14. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
