TORONTO Feb 26 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index tipped lower on Friday morning as softness in financial shares offset the impact of firm gold and oil prices, which were propping up heavily weighted commodity producers.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 15.96 points, or 0.14 percent, at 11,615.48. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
