CANADA STOCKS-TSX lifted by copper prices, economic data
TORONTO, March 1 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index closed higher on Monday as industrial and bank shares gained on stellar North American economic data and mining and oil stocks benefited from surging copper prices resulting from Chile's earthquake.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 97.21 points, or 0.84 percent, at 11,726.84. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney, editing by Peter Galloway)
