CANADA STOCKS-TSX gains on strong bank results, gold
TORONTO, March 2 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday as strong quarterly results from Bank of Montreal (BMO.TO: Quote) put the spotlight on the heavily weighted financial sector, and gold prices rose.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 25.52 points, or 0.22 percent, at 11,753.58. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney, editing by Peter Galloway)
