CANADA STOCKS-TSX up on higher resource shares, Potash

TORONTO, March 12 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index opened higher on Friday as resource issues climbed and shares of Potash Corp of Saskatchewan (POT.TO) rose sharply after it raised its earnings forecast.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 25.10 points, or 0.2 percent, higher at 12,004.80. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
