CANADA STOCKS-TSX boosted by data, higher commodity prices
TORONTO, March 16 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose at the open on Tuesday as firmer oil and metals prices boosted commodity issues, while Canadian economic data provided more evidence that recovery is taking hold.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 32.38 points, or 0.27 percent, higher at 12,041.18. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
