CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens little changed, banks firm

 TORONTO, March 19 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
was little changed at the open on Friday as soft commodity
prices pressured heavily weighted resource issues, while bank
shares were a little firmer.
 At 9:32 a.m. (1332 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 0.70 of a point at
12,040.71, after falling 2.79 points at the open.
