CANADA STOCKS-TSX closes higher on banks, miners

TORONTO, March 23 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index closed higher for a second straight session on Tuesday, led by strong gains in financials and mining issues.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 69.39 points, or 0.58 percent, at 12,036.56.
