CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower on sovereign debt fears
TORONTO, March 24 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened lower on Wednesday under pressure from falling commodity prices and diminished investor confidence as sovereign debt concerns mounted.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 42.58 points, or 0.35 percent, at 12,001.96 at the open. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
