CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns negative on weak tech, materials

TORONTO, March 30 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock market index turned negative shortly after the open on Tuesday as losses in the technology and materials sectors offset gains in heavyweight financials and energy shares.

At 9:43 a.m. (1343 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 1.99 points to 12,027.73. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney, editing by Peter Galloway)
