CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on commodities rally

TORONTO, March 31 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index opened higher on Wednesday as strong commodity prices boosted heavily weighted resource producers, but financial shares tempered gains.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 18.56 points, or 0.2 percent, at 12,062.77 (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
