CANADA STOCKS-TSX rides higher on oil rally, U.S. data

TORONTO, April 5 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index ended higher but off an 18-month high on Monday as rising oil prices and firm U.S. data drew hopes for a sustained economic recovery.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 34.31 points, or 0.28 percent, at 12,185.37. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
