CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on U.S. earnings, commodities

TORONTO, April 14 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index opened higher on Wednesday as commodity prices rose and expectation-beating U.S. earnings boosted investor appetite for risk.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 43.42 points, or 0.36 percent, at 12,144.94 (Reporting by Claire Sibonney, editing by Peter Galloway)
