CANADA STOCKS-TSX extends gain on Greek hopes, earnings

TORONTO, April 29 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index rose 1 percent on Thursday morning as market sentiment was lifted by hopes for a rescue of Greece from its financial problems and solid North American earnings results.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE gained 121.36 points, or 1 percent, to 12,198.25. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
