CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens up as commodities rise, GDP in line

TORONTO, April 30 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Friday as commodity prices rose and domestic economic growth data for February met expectations.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened up 43.03 points, or 0.35 percent, at 12,243.35. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney, editing by Peter Galloway)
